Yemen’s National Dialogue Conference: ban drones

As U.S. targeted killings in Yemen increase, the country’s post-revolutionary council recommends making the practice illegal.

Yemen’s National Dialogue Conference (NDC), the body appointed to chart a post-revolutionary course for the country, has recommended that the new Yemeni constitution make a criminal offence of extra-judicial killing.

Reprieve.

The story comes after Gen. Stanley McChrystal stated, without irony, that drone strikes “create a tremendous amount of resentment.”
