Twitter feed in Yemen reports drone strikes in “real time”

A news report from NBC details how a Sanaa-based lawyer used Twitter to give “live” updates on a suspected U.S. drone attack on an al-Qaeda convoy. He said: “Web use is as low as 2 percent here in Yemen. But it still makes a big difference. Many people get their news from the small local media sites rather than from foreign or state agencies. And Twitter is increasingly important.”
